Hawk/Dove

Hawk/Dove is a poem written entirely in small photographs of surnames from veterans’ headstones. The book is bound as a dos-à-dos. After reading one poem, the book needs to be reversed and read in the opposite direction. Book measures 5.25” x 9.5” and opens to 38.” Bound in grey museum board, it is enclosed in a parchment wrap. 27 copies were bound in 2013.

The clothbound edition of this book is sold out. Thirteen copies were made which can be found in rare book libraries, private and museum collections including Dartmouth, Skidmore, St. Lawrence, Virginia Commonwealth, Reed College, and Universities of Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Rochester and Puget Sound.
