Philadelphia Museum of Art: permanent home for "Sister in the Parrot Garden"

sister_parrot_garden-70.jpgIn 1970 I was one of the first photographers to work with photographic emulsions on fabric. This large piece "Sister in the Parrot Garden" has just been placed in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It is an important and unique example of the sort of work I was making as a very young artist and I am delighted that it will be preserved for future study. I lived and taught in Philly from 1972-4.
