The Observer printed at the Borowsky Center for Publications Arts, The University of the Arts in Philadelphia

ObserverFor a week in April, I was the vonHess Visiting Artist at the Borowsky Center at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. A new artists book, The Observer, was printed in duotone with small holes cut out on a letterpress. One sees a face from every decade from age ten to fifty through these eye holes. The result is humorous, true, and mildly disturbing. For a full description: http://www.beanettles.com/works/observer/To find out more about the Borowsky Center: http://www.uarts.edu/graduate/bookarts/program.html#visiting
